On many occasions I’m told to water down how I say things. But personally, If I can’t taste my alcohol then there is no effect.

Music production is a lot like drugs, especially amphetamines. A drive you constantly thrive to release. You’re addicted. When you get the right idea and the right melody, structure, fx, basslines, there is no sky that limits you.

But then there is the come down. After all the work, all the creative mental energy you give out. You feel drained. You feel like nothing more can come out. You push and push and you force but nope, nada. And that is what hooks you. There is no turning back because how far you’ve gotten. An unwritten contract consuming your time, and most of your sleep.

The catch of this drug, is that you’ll never be satisfied. Accept it.

Never thought I would be doing this, but since things have been picking up rapidly as an artist its best to connect to my fans and EDM community.

Michael Woods, always awesome. Saw him at Pacha NY a whiles back. Loved his set. Great progressive house. Going to see him again tomorrow with Denice and my brother JP.

Rank 1, awesome. I love Rank’s remix’s. Never a dissapointment.

Jochen Miller. progressive, trance, electro, fire set.

John O’Callaghan, 1 word. AMAZING. 135 bpm’s and beyond of pure trance. I did not want his set to end.

Calvin Harris, exactly what I expected. The only Mainstream house DJ I’d be honored to see live.

Markus Schulz, do I need to go into detail? Yes. A Progressive Tech-Trance Legend. His pitch bending, low sin-waved rolling basslines and raunchy bass pads are incredible. This DJ is not leaving the underground, ever!

Armin Van Buuren, AMAZING INTRO. Bam, right into Fusion. This set was PURE EPIC. Not one fuck was given during this set.

Overall. EDC was the peaches!

Working on some new Material for my next Album, tossing up titles. need something contradicting. I want to have an adrenaline pumping album, I do not want what I do to be pretty or to attract the mainstreamers who don’t even know any of the DJ’s at Electric Zoo or EDC. fuck those people, and if your one of them, fuck you too.

I’ve been practicing a lot of new techniques such as pitch bending, modulating the basslines, intense builds, longer melodies, even the piano. There is alot of struggle trying to find your own sound even when your trying to imitate another. I’ve been finding my sound is dark and gritty compared to my EP. It may either make me or brake me, sometimes i do give a fuck about that consequence, I’d rather be me and my fans enjoy what I give them. I do not care about the fucking top 100 charts or whatever. As a die hard Tarentino fan, he said “Find your cult following, and never turn your back on them and they will support you to the end”. Gareth Emery, that quote is for you.

It’s tough trying to found your type of fans. initially, i don’t even know who they are. especially in upstate NY.

Now if I can just give my production a rest and do my next thunder theater already. been what? 2-3 months? wtf am I waiting for?
